TAMPA, FL., December 3, 2025 — Blue Monkey Heavy Haul, a rapidly growing transportation and logistics company specializing in oversized freight that is based in Tampa, Florida, has been selected by Starfighters International to manage the multi-phase relocation of its aircraft assets from Cape Canaveral, Florida, to Midland, Texas. The ongoing project includes the transport of multiple fighter jets, engines, and aviation components that require specialized handling and multi-truck configurations.
The partnership began when Starfighters International, owned by former pilot Rick Svetcoff, identified Blue Monkey Heavy Haul as the ideal carrier to oversee the complex movement of two jets, three engines, wings, tails, and a series of specialized equipment. Blue Monkey is currently estimated to transport approximately 40 truckloads of aviation assets for this initiative, with haul cycles occurring roughly every other month.
“To get clearance and to be face-to-face with all the jets and how they were acquired is a different aspect of the job that is very interesting to me,” said Devan Stavish, Director of Sales and Logistics of Blue Monkey Heavy Haul, who serves as the primary point of contact for the project. “Working hands-on with Starfighters International and seeing how these aircraft are acquired and moved provides a deeper level of appreciation for both industries. It’s by far my favorite project to lead.”
Stavish, who has spent 12 years in the logistics industry, joined Blue Monkey Heavy Haul just over a year ago. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a two-truck to a seven-truck fleet, expanding throughout the southeastern United States. Blue Monkey’s dry-van sector now operates six trucks, with the heavy-haul division continuing to specialize in oversized and high-complexity freight.
While additional project details are pending, Blue Monkey Heavy Haul is coordinating directly with Starfighters International leadership regarding clearances, logistics planning, and future phases of the relocation. Footage and documentation requests will be coordinated through Stavish, pending approval from Starfighters International’s internal team.
